Re: Darts and the Apex

Thanks for giving the system a go. I really appreciate it. It is a little hard for me to visualize what you are doing. Some screenshots would be really helpful. There is a sloper that has been split to create a princess line. Here is the garment - https://www.fearlessmakers.com/garment/detail/6 That...

New Member Restrictions

I'm sorry I had to do it, but I've had to restrict new registered users. I'm getting SPAM on a daily basis and it is annoying. I don't like these posts in our forum. As of today, your first two posts will be held for review. If they pass review, you're free to post more. I watch the forum carefully,...

New Feature - Test Your Measurements

The most common problem people encounter is failed drafts. These are due to errors in people's measurement sets. Until now, it was very difficult to find where the errors were. We've created a new feature for testing measurements. On the My Account page, Measurement Sets tab you'll find a new button...

Error Found In Measurement Set Library

The Mid-Armhole Height measurement for Marvelous Designer avatars Nevaeh, Islo and Milo were incorrect. These have been fixed in the program. Anyone who had copies of these sets in their library with the original names were fixed. If you copied any of these sets and changed the name, the values are ...

Re: Need some guidance on avatar measurement

I create a line down both sides to split the body, as you have done. Then to measure the half circles (waist, hips, bust, etc), I will use the circumference tool to set the full circle. Then I will create a tape measurement from my side line around to the other side. You can do the front or back, do...

Re: Converting a sewing pattern into usable MD pattern

Looks like you've got a handle on it. If you want to eliminate the darts but still maintain the fit, create two separate patterns. This makes princess seams like in this image. I've shown you the original pattern and then the cut one. These are very rough cuts, you'd want to do some smoothing. This ...

Re: Converting a sewing pattern into usable MD pattern

That's a good plan and should work just fine. Create Internal Lines everywhere you need to cut the pattern and then right-click Cut.

Good luck!

Re: Scaling the PNG file in MD

You shouldn't have to do any scaling of the PNG in Marvelous Designer. The pattern will come in the correct size for tracing. Please watch this YouTube video starting at 12:57 in the timeline. It goes through the entire process. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJf4h39WPIQ&t=3s Thanks for posting and...
