This tool allows you to create a new layer and copy geometry into it all at once.

The new layer will be created as a child of the current layer (shown above the tool panel). Use the Select Layer tool in the Layers menu to move to the correct layer before proceeding.

Select items you want to copy. This can be everything except individual curve points.

Enter a name for your new layer.

You can use the Layer Visibility tool to view the new layer with the copied geometry. Note that the parent of myNewLayer, which is Bodice Front Sloper Text, must be visible to see myNewLayer.
